Just got my tuner !!! Evil or Very Mad I have a 06 SRT Charger CAI Magnaflow 180 Jet T-Stat - I will be choosing the 93 octane performance tune. What options should I change to get the best possible combination on creating the best performace I can get with my few add ons? Shift points? temps? Rev Limiter? What are your srt combo set ups? Share the secrects doh

I heard for the SRT that the 91 octane tune is better for some reason. You might want to try that bt still use 93 octane gas. I wouldnt mess with shift points but you can make your trans have firmer shifts. I would do that first along with the 91 oct tune.

on the srt you don't have an option for firm shifts. but you can raise the shift points which you should do. when you raise them it will ask you to raise the rev limiter which you have to do for raised shiftpoints. so do that.

the 91 tune is only better if you get a lot of knock on the 93 tune. the 93 tune is quite aggressive and on some cars it can cause light knock. the computer will cut the timing and rob power if it sees light knock. so basically you can run the 91 tune as is for ok power gains, or you can run the 93 tune and datalog the knock out of it for even better gains. by adding fuel and reducing one or two degrees of timing you can get rid of the knock the sensors see to max out your power in the tune.

you must use quality 93 octane gas on the 93 tune or the computer will see knock from inferior gas also.

You can safely raise your rev limiter 400 rpm to 6600 rpm. Don't go more.

Grab your tuner and head out to Mr. Norm's before the end of the week while it's still only $200 for a dyno tune.
