| Just wondering if anyone has any experience with cathodes compared to the standard neon tubes? | |

| Just wondering if the cathode type of light is as good if not better than the tube style neon lights. I am looking to get neon as cost effective as possible. | |

| are you looking for the interior?
I personally (just my opinion) wouldn't recommend cathodes since the inverter tend to get too hot.I actually made a switch from cathodes to led's simply because the led's run cooler, and will last longer.Luckly for me I caught my inverter smoking right on time. They did last me for about 6 months though.Maybe it was a faulty inverter, who knows....

| Go with the flexible led strips from Oznium. Measure your grill opening and order 2 strips in that size, one for the bottom and one for the top. As far as the other places you want to put them, do the same measure the area and order as close to that size as possible. You will also need more than 1 switch, unless you want everything running to 1 switch, which is stupid imo. You will need a switch for the grill lights, 1 for the engine bay, and the interior you could probably hook up to your existing interior lights, so it will go on and off with the rest of your lights. | |

| Yeah I was on Oznium last night (that's what sparked all these ?'s) and thought I would ask about the cathodes too. I'm ordering the LED's tonight and hopefully have them for sunday.
Thanks for the info. Sorry for dumb ?'s but I'm still trying to learn.

| My buddy has a shop on the southside and he will do it for $150.00 with a lifetime warranty. I also have a place in Roselle, but they are probably over $200 to do the tint. | |

| He is open till about 4-5pm depending on how busy he is. If you want a Saturday you will probably have to wait a couple of weeks. But if you can get there by noon during the week you should be ok. | |
