Just took it to Firestone, and they cant pin point it. I had to sign a waiver so they could put my car on the lift, because they were afraid to touch my car. lol The guy that test drove my car thought maybe the sway bar was bad, but after they lifted the car up he said it looked fine. The only thing they could come up with was bad strut mounts. When the rocked the car up and down the guy said he could see the inside coil of the strut mount. So I said go ahead and fix it, because I dont feel like fucking with it anymore. They refused, they are afraid to work on my car, what a fucking joke. So how hard is it to do a strut mount, and btw they are not sure if thats the problem, they checked everything else and said it all appeared to be fine.

| No it was a liability issue, which I can understand. That just tells me they have no faith in their workers not to fuck up my car! Looks like I will be taking the wifes car somewhere else. That sucks cause I have been dealing with these guys for over 5yrs. | |

| the strut mount, i believe is the upper most portion of the shock tower assembly. i could be wrong though. if i am correct, then it would basically be removing the the tower to replace the top of it. maybe somebody else could chime in but it seems it would be the part that those three bolts stick through the body and you connected your strut tower brace to... | |

| Ya thats part of it, but I believe I have to get a spring compressor also. I remember when Adam and I did the struts we had to take the springs off to put the mount on. | |

| un FUCKING real is all I can say. So I had a post on the Z about my problem. Someone responded asking if I had BT strut tower covers. He went on to say he also has them and when he put his mopar strut tower brace on he had similar noises. So I'm thinking he is fucking crazy what could that possibly have to do with it, because I had the problem before I put the brace on, but it was only the drivers side making noise. So I said fuck it what do I have to lose, I take off the BT strut covers and go for a ride, no fucking noise at all. I made sure I hit all the shitty roads and drove fast and slow, and I repeat no fucking noise at all!!! So as far as I'm concerned problem solved and I have half my suspension brand new. There was a problem with the drivers side prior to the strut tower brace, so out of the 3 things I replaced that problem is also solved. I'm so fucking relieved, I have been stressing over this since Sunday. Now who can try and figure out why the strut covers cause this to happen????? | |

| That is weird but im glad you got it fixed. Maybe with the strut bar on there it is hitting the BT covers when the bar flexes? | |

| No, but they screw on to the top bolt of the strut. The strut tower brace sits around it. | |

| Mine was loose, I cranked it back down as tight as the other. No more noise. I think it's like a bolt when you first install it, it's tight. After a little use you have to re-torque it. Man what a nightmare. | |

Thats basically what they are just fancy covers. But for some reason they cant coexist with the strut tower brace. So I will just put them on for shows for now on.

Shawn, did you install them with the rubber washers underneath? No I didnt, but mine were not loose at all. Maybe I will go buy some rubber washers tomorrow maybe even double up on each side and then put the covers back on and see if that stops the noise. If it doesnt work then I will contact BT.
