The Hellbitch is getting her Vortech Supercharger

After researching blowers forever, I made a deal with Bob Kurgan yesterday at his shop in Byron. It's been ordered and should come in around the last part of March. I have an appt. on April 4th and will pick up my car on the 6th. The unit is the new Vortech V-3 Si-Trim Supercharger /VOR-4CL218-030L. I went with satin, just to save a few bucks and it will match my underhood shit that is also in satin. This complete kit comes with the high-flow fuel injections, 2 bar Map sensors, integrated dual-pass air/water charge cooler, a closed loop water cooling system with a stand-alone pump, a high-flow bypass valve and a Vortech custom tune. Bob will install the Vortech tune in my car and then do some dyno pulls to see where or if it needs any adjustments in a/f and timing. I should be making somewhere between 145-160 hp and will just have to wait and see just how far Bob thinks he wants to go with it. Bob is one of the very few people I trust to touch my car. He really knows his stuff and I don't ever worry about that end of things. At this stage I'm not trying to make max power with it. I will address that demon later on if I decide to go with forged internals on the rotation parts. I can always upgrade boost pressures as needed. I'm pretty pumped about this and I still can't believe I finally was able to make the deal. It's always been about the blower since I bought this car.

Congrats bro! Aren't you just going to stick with the Vortech tune that comes with it? That way you can keep their 36,000 mile warranty just in case anything breaks?

Nah, no 36,000 mi. warranty. It isn't from Vortech. It's a third party deal, based on the date of the new car sale. I will still have the one year from Vortech. It will have the Vortech tune, but if it needs a little tweak here and there that's what will be in for the final tune.

im excited to get this installed and tuned.. The vortech tunes, in my opinion, are not bad at all.. Lance (their tuner) is a pretty conservative guy and they base their tunes off 91octane california fuel.. I dont think there is a need to have me custom tune it UNTIL we do a big built motor After the install, we will throw it on the dyno to make sure the timing and a/f look good. If a custom tune is needed, we will get it set up!

Left my car at Bob Kurgans today. The Marauder club was there. He was putting a tune on one that had an Eaton blower on it. Bob didn't install the blower. He really had his hands full today. I paid up and took off with Badd Boy2 as soon as he found the shop. No cell service there for T-Mobile. Bob said he would be done on Tues. aft. with everything. I get a couple pulls included in the install price. If any additional tuning is needed he will discuss it with me when I come over to get it. Depending on what he thinks after the base pull and a pull with the Vortech tune installed, I get it back on Tues. It really shouldn't need any additional tuning. I will have to go with what Bob thinks.

I do have one problem. Being that it's a Tues I'm having a tough time finding a ride over there to pick it up. Not a real big deal, I'm sure I can find someone by then. I'll get it back on Tues. if I have to walk over there to get it, lol.
