| with the predator do you really notice a difference? im on the fence about getting one.... any hp gains and gain in gas mileage, i would just stick with the preloaded tunes cause id hate for something to go wrong. | |

| Yes the difference is like night and day. Get it along with a CAI if you dont already have one and also get a 180* thermostat. Do it.....do it. | |

| I noticed a big difference. I really notice it when I have to reload stock tune to go back to the stealership. | |

| I could tell a difference, but it wasn't something awesome. If you do switch out your t'stat, you definately need it so you can adjust your fans. You can also turn off your MDS and with the R/T Charger (I can't speak for the Challenger), you can adjust shift firmness.
I guess it might be more noticible if I had to go back to the stock tune like Bill said.

| Have you ordered the tuner yet, Jesse? Mine took like three weeks to get delivered. Maybe Maryland Speed will give you a deal on a t'stat and a tuner. | |

No, I didn't. I know some of this doesn't directly apply to the Challenger, but here is an excellent compilation of how-tos: http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67858 Here's the t'stat specifically (videos): Part 1 https://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d200/mnunes1/Mods/Thermostat/?action=view¤t=ChangingThermostatVideoPowerWagon.flv Part 2 https://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d200/mnunes1/Mods/Thermostat/?action=view¤t=ChangingThermostatVideopt2.flv

| I noticed a difference with the 93 CAI over stock. And now with my CMR it's night and day better than the 93 CAI tune. | |

| I just got my predator on Friday. I installed the 93 OCT tune because I'm waiting on some parts still.....and even from stock I notice a difference in accelaration and overall driveability. It was so easy. The Predator literally does everything for you....just push a couple buttons.
I would like to learn a bit more about making manual adjustments though, without doing damage to my ride.

I would like to learn a bit more about making manual adjustments though, without doing damage to my ride. You can EASILY get yourself into a heap of trouble with manual fuel and timing adjustments if you don't know what you're doing. Don't do it unless you are 100% confident in what you're doing and have datalogged all the parameters you need to make the correct adjustments.

A custom CMR tune. | |
