| less friction makes less wear on parts. the oil itself doesn't make more power but it allows your motor to run to its potential.
i don't know if i want to believe their claims or not since the oil they use is a sponsor of the show but horsepower TV got 9 crank hp over conventional oil on the dyno when they switched to royal purple.

everyone has their favorite synthetic. ask about oil's and you will get a different story from everyone you ask. i run royal purple myself in the car and mobil 1 in my truck.

| I run Royal Purple 5w20 in my R/T and I love it. Running synthetic is way better for your engine in the long run. Like Jon said, it helps the engine run to its potential but it is also much cleaner than regular oil. Regular oil has a lot of waxes and junk in it and I wouldnt want that in my engine. I use to use Mobile 1 but switched to Royal Purple just for the hell of it. You really cant go wrong with either brand. Make sure you get a good filter too. I use either the Mobile 1, Royal Purple or the K&N oil filter. And yes it is ok to run synthetic in your stock engine. | |

yea, you were telling me about that stuff... lots of info there. little too expensive for me though at what works out to be 14 bux a quart. oil is cheap insurance for making thousands of dollars of equipment run for a long time but i think ill stick to royal purple. its easy to get a hold of, and one of the big chain auto part stores has it on sale at any given time. pep boys has royal purple at 5 quarts and a royal purple filter for 49.99, just buy the other two quarts and your good to go. its normally 9.99 a quart.

| Changing the oil out at 10k, so it kind of evens out. Brian (the owner) wants me to an oil analysis to see how it's holding up. He's real anal about his oil. | |

| yea i change a 6k on the royal purple so i guess if you can get it to 10k it might even be cheaper per mile for the quantum blue.
by the way i still didn't get a chance to try that cleaner you gave me. i was gonna do it today but my sister brought my niece over and cleaning the car for sunday had to go on hold. i work tomorrow so i should be able to try it when i get out of work tomorrow so it drys before i clean it up for the show sunday morning.

| I use dino oil...and I'm not happy about the way mine's been running.
I also haven't changed my own oil, and I wouldn't trust Jiffy Lube to do the change.
Anybody in LITH or Crystal Lake know someone to go to to change it if I buy the RP and bring it to them?

the pep boys special is even lower than that! Remember that synthetic oils have inherent design flaws just like mineral oils. Royal Purple uses Molybdenum disulfide as an anti-wear agent. When you mix Moly with Sulfur in the fuel and moisture from the atmosphere, it produces acids. As a consequence of combustion, you get acids already and putting a compound in that produces more is not a good thing. Also remember too that ALL PAO or Poly Alpha Olefin oils that are made from condensed natural gas are good at pumpability, ok on wearability, marginal on oxidation stability but are aggressive on your seals, and drop their additive packages. This is all synthetic oils out there. Neo, Royal Purple, Amsoil, Mobil 1, Redline etc. Having a QuantumBlue Custom Blended oil that is not made from PAO but is still Synthetic characteristic mineral gives you the friendly on seals, suspension of additive package.....which is much more durable and no Moly.....and yet still gives you the pumpability, wearability, and oxidation stability sufficient to go 10K miles without issue is your best bet. http://www.bndautomotive.com/page/page/929427.htm We are having a special this month of 12.56 per quart as opposed to the 13.95 as normal. Custom Blending always outperforms store bought materials. Regards, Brian BND Automotive LLC 440-821-9040

| x2 Biran , some people just don't want to take the leap and try your product. trust me guys i was one of them. i took the leap and my car can't thank Brian enough for what he does at his mad science lab. i do have to say that it seems like my car runs better with QB fluids. so to anybody , take the risk, the reward is worth it!!! | |

| Iv'e always used Mobil1 and I just changed out the oil in my truck from April 08 lol. I think it was in a tad long. (15k) I'm back to using the regular Mobil1 now. I could tell a difference for the first time ever when I changed out that old oil. 15k is too long to leave oil in your motor. | |
