Here's the latest:
plcman has my Flashtech halos. He's building a new "dual regulator" with my rings as the prototype. The new regulator promises to be kick ass. Just waiting for final assembly now.
It's definitely been an odyssey. I feel like I'm the most knowledgeable person ever on halos...never to have installed a set of halos. I've learned a lot, including (like ChargerChick sez) that I'm a really patient person.
I'm just hoping the halos will be a decent enough addition to the CAMM halo lineup once it's done.

I don't wanna throw sand in yer face or anything but I would have told them to go F themselves by now...I wouldn't care if they are putting on a effing 24karat gold regulator on there....I'm going on two years with mine without any problems, and if they did burn out AAC would send a second set faster than a year thats for sure....rant over...Hope they come soon for you though since you are a good guy and deserve a good product!!

Keep in mind, this isn't Flashtech's issue in that Flashtech has already moved me off their radar screen. This was me connecting with plcman and him designing a new regulator...not for Flashtech, just for/through him. It's just taking a lot longer than I thought.
I'm nothing if not a big, nice, PATIENT guy. But I'm feeling kind of like Posey in this clip (pick it up @ 3:35):

do me a favor TEST em before we come out and let us know they are ok!
#1: Aren't you on ordered rest for Sunday, sir?
#2: You're not coming up to me, I'M coming down towards YOU. You guys are doing me a favor, and I'm a guy that goes out of my way for that. Making the drive up to me? Two words for that: "Nuh-Uh."
#3: Just got off the phone w/Diallo: He's ordered a 10 minute test hooked up to the regulator and 12v power source, check for heat, followed by another 10-minute test w/the engine running (will put the batt up near 14v, normal operating range) & a check for heat again. I'll be doing those tests Saturday.
