| its not a pothole, water, or blown tire that did him in, that would be a cop out.
coming from a performance truck background ill say this. trucks have light rear ends. the SRT-10's have always gotten the best of in experienced drivers. its a combo of the light rear, and short wheel base, and power. it snaps back hard on corrections. which is no big deal for a driver who has had that happen to him a lot but some people just don't react fast enough. once it starts to slide and he didn't counter steer fast enough and you are too sideways in a confined space to power it out, your screwed.
i had two Dakota r/t's at the same time a couple years ago before i sold one to get the SRT8. one was a regular cab and the one i still have is an extended cab. the manners of the 2 trucks were worlds different. you could drive the extended cab sideways all day and it would do everything you wanted it to, its so predictable. the regular cab on the other hand with its short wheel base was a handful. the thing would whip around so fast and so hard i had a couple times i almost didn't save it.
