Very Nice looking ride...I noticed you had painted the calipers...How'd you like the way it turned out...Was thinking about doing that to my truck...Would love to put some Brembo's on...But don't have that kinda $$$ right now...So thought the paint would be a cheap, decent alternative...

Thanks bro. I like the way the caliper paint has been holding up. It was very easy to paint, just make sure the calipers are extremely clean before you paint.

For those of you who dont know, I bought Vic's 2001 Blazer ZR2. Its kind of funny because when I was talking to Nick and Jackie about how I wanted to mod it, they told me how Vic wanted to do the exact same thing. The guy had great taste for sure! So for the last couple weeks, I have been slowly painting some stuff on it and here is the progress so far.....

Before:










After some painting (All the flat black is plastidip):
Center cap for spare tire (Vic already plastidipped the rim)


Blacked out all the emblems


Re-plastidipped the spare and did the other 4









Spare tire rack






Repainted the tow hooks


So far so good, except for the side window moldings. For some reason, the 2-doors have a problem with the molding getting eaten up from the sun. The plastic gets really pitted and turns a brownish color. So I used some plastidip and sprayed the hell out of them hoping if I sprayed it on really thick, it would fill in the pits. When it was wet, it looked like it was going to work because the molding was smooth, but as it dried I guess the plastidip shrinks or something because the pitting showed back up. I then used some filler but I suck at that so I just left it with the plastidip. I figure it couldnt hurt to get a quote from a body shop to see how much it cost to get refinished in flat black. But thats not important, it can wait.

I also sprayed plastidip on the hitch and brushed on rustoleum onto the frame.

Next on the list is to plastidip the fender flares and bumpers. Also the chrome trim on the grill and around the headlights.

Lol i plan on it as soon as I'm able to. I was planningon a viper alarm with remote start and 2 way pager. Gotta save my pennies though.

Finished up today. I did the fender flares, front and rear bumpers, and the chrome that was on the front end (center of grill and around the headlights). I think it came out good, I just hope this plastidip stuff is durable.

Thanks! Yeah I have been working my ass off on it the last couple weeks. I actually just got done buffing and waxing it. The paint is as smooth as glass now.
