Brought my Jeep in for a new cat since it's under warranty and being a '14, it's now time for emissions testing. Took them a couple of days to fix it since they didn't have the part but they gave me a Compass to drive so that's not a problem. An okay car for what it is. Not my style.

When I picked it up, however, I drove it away and stopped to get gas and investigate the burning smell I noticed. I figured it was the new cat getting hot for the first time so I wasn't overly worried but I'm sure glad I did. They failed to re-attach my front drive shaft! How the fuck do you forget to do that?!

Moral of the story, make sure you check your vehicle out after service! That could have ended badly.

No, I just had them fix it and drove off. I'm going to email the service manager just to make sure that he's aware. Being the weekend, I can see it getting swept under the rug.
