Get on track with Blackhawk Farms
Blackhawk Farms is a 1.95 mile, 7 turn private circuit racetrack located in South Beloit, Illinois on 216 acres. The track is on the border between Wisconsin and Illinois, within 90 miles of 2 major metropolitan areas; Chicago and Milwaukee and minutes from interstate 90. The track is a favorite of many local and national race organizations, and is designed to allow for racing organizations and clubs alike to create the ultimate on-track experience with safety being top priority.
What do I need to participate?
To participate in a Blackhawk Farms Automotive Track Day, you need a few basic items for safety. Basic requirements include a performance vehicle in good repair, a SNELL approved helmet, closed toe shoes, long pants and long sleeves. Helmets are available for rent at the Pit Stop, but please call in advance for sizes and availability.
Once you have your equipment, you will need to register for the event. Registration is available online here, by phone, or at the track the day of the event. Register early, as most sessions sell out quickly, and unregistered drivers will be turned away. To expedite your registration, please complete all forms prior to the event and submit them to registration at arrival.
Convertibles are required to have either a roll bar or roll over protection system for all on-track activity.
What do we do during the event?
Automotive track days are designed for the novice through the most experienced riders. To accomodate all levels, drivers will be broken up into appropriate groups based on skill and experience. Groups cycle in order throughout the day, typically at 20 minute intervals.
For novice drivers, instructors will be assigned to you to teach you the basics of track driving, how to correctly navigate through turns, and more. Photos will be available of you on track from our partner, Redline Photography, at most events for an additional fee.
NOTE: Advanced registration closes Noon business day prior to event. You will not be able to register or reserve a space at the advanced rate after Noon the business day prior to event- no exceptions.
