Georgia Tornado

When I get home I drop my trailer at a truck stop and bobtail to the house and, as usual, this is what I did this week. When I got ready to leave yesterday Deb wanted me to wait till after the tornado warnings had passed but I needed to go if I was going to be on time. We sat on the deck and had a smoke. The power went out just before I left but I headed out anyway. As I got close to the truck stop I started seeing a lot of damage and when I got into the place this was what I saw:





That is my trailer laying on it's side. If I hadn't had a smoke with Deb before I left I would have been there when it hit.

A lot of folks here have lost everything so I guess I'm luckier than most. My company sent another truck and the damaged load was loaded onto his trailer while a replacement load was sent down for me to take on to Miami.



There was only 1 death and, considering all the damage, that's pretty lucky.

Glad your ok. On a side note, I will take Chicago winters over your warm climate anytime because of exactly what happened.

The new truck was at home and wasn't hurt.
