I am new to all this racing. I have read several post on about everything you can on here and I am a bit confused.

I read on here so many way people set there cars up for racing, from letting air out of tires and different Octane, even pulling the #2 fuse and disconnecting the neg. battary cable and tires

I have a 2012 Challenger SRT8, so I know that I am limited on what programs I can and can not use because of the warranty.

If someone could explain to me what to do, what not to do. Would be great.

Me personally I take all the extra crap I can out my car, 1/4th tank of gas, no ac, no bunout, no rolling my street tires through the waterbox, i did drop the psi down just cannot remember to what. Dont roll through both the pre stage and staged lights but if you do back up. Just listen to the lane guys they help you. I leave traction control on becausevI know my car and without it my car likes to try to jump lanes.

Most important go and have fun.

Edited- asked Cobra he put my front tires up to like 32 and dropped my rears down to within a few psi. It all depends on track and air temp.

The nice thing about test and tune is that you can try all sorts of tips and tricks. Hopefully you'll find one that works best for you and your car. I've tried them all and keep running the same times. Good luck

airing up the front tires to like 45 or 50 (as long as it is under your tires max pressure allowance) is good for less rolling resistance. also. that is for track only though, if you drive around like that all the time and you will wear out the center of the tire and have a harsh ride.
