so I've commited to buy both a set of drag wheels/tires and a getrag rear end/axles/driveshaft. I'm getting the rear end installed at mr norms along with a drive shaft loop and the upgraded clutches. I'm going to need a helmet, so what should I be looking for? Simpson is what I've seen as of now, but I don't know what I need. What is good, what is not? I plan to make as many passes this year as I can, knowing I have two very young daughters, and ununderstanding wife, and live about 2 hrs from GLD.

Lots of good quality helmets out there. You don't have to go crazy and spend 1000 bux. Somewhere in the range of 250 will be fine and any brand. Get one with a full face mask and make sure it fits you right. With the helmet on you should not be able to pull it off your head by reaching your arm straight over the top of the helmet and gripping it on the base and pulling it up. Fit and the correct snell rating are the 2 most important things.
