EXHAUST Dumb Questions :)

I have a question about more HP and sound thats all. If custom or shelf would be better and what brand?
By the way I have 06 jeep srt8 Bwoody 4" CAI and 93oct Predator tune. Please help.

IMO after market exhaust is all about the sound; and there are plenty of different sounds out there. I would take my time and listen to as many systems as I could find; Youtube helps for that, but any "in person" listening you can do would be best. Eventually you'll find one that keeps you from turning the radio up; trust me. I'm partial to the Corsa Extreme and will look into having the system put on once it comes out for my car.

As far as HP, exhaust systems don't add HP, but they let your car "breathe" better then OEM thusly unrestricting some HP your car already has. You will feel the difference, but you're not adding any HP per say.

As far as custom or off the shelf, you've got me there my friend as I have no experience with custom.

Thanks, I really like the Corsa sound (deep).I read that some place in Aurora or Joliet sells custom exhaust for around 500-600 bucks. I don't mind any where close to the city. (up north) What size does anybody recommends. 3" or "3 1/4 inch
