The Return of the 3gCustomz 3.5L V6 Engine Cover Empty
PostSubject: The Return of the 3gCustomz 3.5L V6 Engine Cover   The Return of the 3gCustomz 3.5L V6 Engine Cover I_icon_minitimeMarch 29th 2011, 8:35 am

After numerous requests we have been trying our best to figure out how to manufacture the 3gCustomz 3.5 Engine Cover.

These were originally made by hand from sheet metal. As much as we wanted to sell them the labor in each one and being handmade led to high cost and variances in fitment and look.

It looks like we have finally found a way to produce these on a large scale for a reasonable price. Now I need to ensure the market is still there and our investment in tooling can be recovered over time.

Let me also say, the design is set, we cannot add louvers, vents or change the shape. Let’s focus the conversation on price and how much need there is for this cover. Not how we should change the design.

So here are the important questions we need to figure out:

1. We are looking at being in the $275 - $325 price range for this product. It will be fiberglass and paint ready. Are you still interested at this range?

2. If given a release date 1 month out, would you be interested enough to be in the first group? Would this “mod” take priority over others at the given price range?

We are not far out on this if we decide to go with it, so let’s start a interest list. Of course, this is not a commitment, but a “I like what I see, I like the price, I want to be one of the first with it”

I will start a list in the second post. Until then, here are the pictures.

Nice....like my design better though. Covers more of the engine and is centered.
