Mopars at the Strip - Las Vegas April 8-10, 2011

This is the event that the Sox and Martin Challenger get's raffled off at. I am planning on attending this event. If I can come up with a solution to my dog and if I can work out leaving the business for 9 or 10 days. I'll be pulling a trailer out there with Tim. With any luck I'll be driving my Sox and Martin car back home, lol. The drag racing should be phenominal!!! Tim's new and better race car will be ready and going along, as well. It is sick and might turn some 7's. It will be the fastest Challenger on the Planet.

Just got word that I have the business covered. My dog is still unknown, but my vet will be calling me soon. Whichever way that goes. I am confirmed on making this event. I'm pumped!!! It's been 4 or 5 years since I've had a vacation. Woo Hoo!!!

Get a plane ticket and fly out with the rest of the crew. It's arguably THE MOPAR event of the year.

The Wife & I went a few years back. We both had a blast

Stayed at a small Hotel by the Air force base. In the A.M. watched the fighter jets take off. so cool

I was surprised that my wife loved the drag races

Went to the party at the Cannery ? hotel & casino. Very nice place.

I spent way too much on parts for my Charger . had the shipped vis the UPS store.

No not going this year , Been off work for a month now ( surgery). So don't want to use up any vacation time if I don't need to.

Hell I have spent enough this last month to choke a horse on parts for the Challenger & Charger

Bad thing is I can't install most of them untill I get cleared by the Doc.

Hope you have a blast out there, Vegas is an interesting place. Just walked in the door from the longest week of my life. Only got to see the strip as we were heading to the airport. Slight chance I might be back out there soon but not sure if it will be during this.

Thanks alot Jesse. She is too old, now. More like a patient than a pet. I have made arrangements to kennel her at the vet while I'm gone. That should be interesting.

One week from Sun. and we are heading out there. I'll be in on the Scottsdale cruise to Vegas which will be a blast. All those Mopars! Which one should I drive? Hmmm. Maybe I'll just follow with the trailer that houses the coolest cars, lol.

Leaving this Sun. Almost ready. Taking care of last min. details. Last few days will be hectic and hope to be good to go late Sat. eve.

Things are delayed. Race car won't be done in time to leave Sunday. We will be leaving later in the week.. Freakin car is a job to get ready.. sorry bud, we are going its just delayed a few days.

Dang. I was going to be in Vegas that same weekend for my birthday but plans have changed. Have a great time Tom! (that is if you are still going that weekend)

Yeah. I can't get that Saturday off. We have to plan a different weekend.

Welp, we were supposed to take off last night for Scottsdale/Vegas. That didn't happen. I was at the shop all day helping Tim and Todd finish the race car build. That's helping as in "hey Tom see that red wire" "bring me the whole spool" Anything to help speed this build along. I left around 3:00 and Tim was going to stay another 8 hrs. to fab up a bracket for his intercooler.

The latest estimate is Wednesday no later than noon, or we won't make it in time. I can see it now. Three of us pushing the unfinished race car into the trailor. Tim and Todd in the trailor working on the car, while I blast down the road Hell bent for Scottsdale. Tim banging on the nose of the trailor yelling quit hitting bumps and swerving around. Of course this is all normal to them, lol. It's how it always goes. lol.

Is the paint work done?
