car shakes at about 80 mph

Ok so I got my radio problem fixed, only 1 more thing left.

From about 75-85 the thing shakes like a leaf in fall. Its fine up until 75 and after about 85 its smooth but WTF? Why in that nice highway cruising zone does it do that? Forces me to go under 75 or do 90 :-)

Mine did the exact same thing straight from the factory. Just had to take it back to the dealer and have the wheels re-balanced.

i was going to say, probably a wheel balance issue... a weight in the wrong spot or something.. im sure Jontoad will chime in on this.. he's the CAMM tire guy...

I took it to carmax they said they can't balance past 60 mph or something like that

Same problem (although I don't know about what it was like from the factory); same fix.

I just fixed this for my R/T but I had a couple problems in the same area that sorta contributed to that. Had to replace the sway bar bushings cause well the heat shields were not correctly on cause the shop I took it to left them off meting the rubber on the bushing and replaced both links on the front along with the the bushings. The links were shot. And well I had warped rotors so did a brake job as well on the front. And replaced the inner tie rod on the passenger side with an alignment. But these are kinda normal, I guess, and I was about due for it the Mag has about 70,000 miles now and well I was glad most of it made it thus far lol.
